As I spoke to people, a common trend was the importance of loving self and allowing yourself to learn from mistakes. There is no point in regretting or being hard on yourself now for what you cant change. BUT with the holy spirit you can make the days ahead much better and greater. No one is perfect so dont count yourself out. Go to God say it all and pray. Hes got you.

The self love campaign was aimed at bringing tools to help edify and encourage you to love yourself, draw closer to God, forgive your past, focus on God and to show love and compassion to others. To name a few. So stay tuned for the remainder of this series.

To share her experiences on what I call an area in the shadows - Comparison and Envy. It is there, but not many people talk about it, or associate themselves with going through this. We always say to be transparent is not to be ashamed, but rather to help and encourage others with your story.

EUW SELF LOVE CAMPAIGN 2018👈👈 COMPARISON & ENVY Those who don’t love themselves enough, tend to fall in the trap of social media comparisons because deep within they can’t accept and love themselves how they ought too, neither are they content with what they have. DO A DEEP SEARCH WITHIN AND LET GOD HEAL YOU.

Remember People aren't consistent and so with that, their tastes and attitudes change like the weather. You shouldn't allow them to define u or make u feel unwanted and unworthy. Who does God say you are? There is a lot of negativity out there, so rise above this need to compare yourself and envy others. Learn to be content and accept who u are in Christ. •

There is much more to life than social media, don't chase after people's opinions and false sense of belonging, or making you feel inadequate. Life is not easy and the last thing you should do is let comparison and envy rob you of your peace and joy. Don't let social media change your view of who you are or what you have.. RISE ABOVE AND CLAIM BACK YOUR IDENTITY AND EMBRACE IT.

I came to realize that who people showed me they were, wasnt actually who they really were, because when others showed up they changed and weren’t as genuine as I thought. I used to make a big dal out of it. But then I came to realize that there are people out there whose loyalty, feelings and actions change based on circumstances, social media and those they come into contact with.. Some sadly have lost themselves to the extent where they have different ways of being around different people regularly..At times they can’t help it and feel insecure about things.

You may mock us but you cant mock God. When in His presence He sees all through you. He created you and will know when youre putting on a front to others and even yourself. Go to God and lay it all at His feet dont act fake, dont hold things in. Be openminded, keep God as your focus and grow in the word. •

It’s okay to feel upset, discouraged, confused, anxious etc because we are all humans and situations will have an effect on us, we have feelings..BUT pray and go to our Father to release that burden, rather than hold it in and give a false impression to others, that’s too much energy and makes it worse.. LET HIM WORK ON YOU, IN TURN HELPING YOU HANDLE THE PEOPLE YOU CROSS PATHS WITH.. & YOULL BE OKAY.

Saw this and my heart just sank, Ladies I want you to read this very carefully. You are not who society says you are you are who God says you are beautifully and fearfully made - Psalm 139:14 Dont compare yourselves to others. Embrace your uniqueness

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." No matter what color you are, what colour your hair is, eyes, height whatever it may be you are unque and no matter your nationality you are special. Some are naturally big, some arent. Some dont have the clearest skin, some do. Some have short hair others have long hair. We are diverse but serve ONE God. We arent meant to fit in but STAND OUT individually. Work hard in what you are doing whether in Ministry, business, Career paths etc.

No need to hate and envy others because in this whole world, there is only one you and thats special enough to set you apart. You arent meant to look like others. Dont look at others and wish to be them. Dont change your body to fit into societys definition of skinny or 'perfect'. Besides if you changed for them, you would never be happy because you are people pleasing others and neglecting what is right for you. 💛💛

MASKS- a covering, disguise, covering up the pain, acting like all is well making yourself believe that and not letting the right people see the broken you to encourage and pray with you, especially hiding from God.

If there's one thing I can relate to overtime is about masks, I was broken and soo lost that I worked hard to cover it up with weave, braids, makeup. Hoping people wouldnt see the broken self within, based on my trying times. Like the picture illustrates I would 'pick' the laughing, happy faces.. But really I was upset, angry and confused. I didn't know my identity in Christ and lived off compliments to make myself feel 'better' to ignore for a moment the pain suffered.

Why am I saying all this?? There are many of you who are walking around with smiles and nice clothes, nice hair and makeup done perfectly. But beneath all that, is a crying spirit and brokenness you're covering up. Like cement covering a wall which after some time will get worse and you'll explode because pain ignored gets worse and worse.
●
You need to get to a place where you will embrace you, your experiences, and how you are because that's how God made you and He wants you to hand over the broken pieces to him don't hide anymore, dont let fear hold you back. Come out to Him receive your healing and strength.. Your identity is in him not man not woman, not your situations.. So find that inner peace to help you overcome and I pray and believe you shall be healed to tell your story too to many others.

LADIES COMPARISON IS VERY DANGEROUS TO GET CAUGHT UP IN.
In selfies they are smiling, but deep down inside they are crying for attention, for love, for understanding and for peace. They may have important titles on their jobs, may have the material things, look good on the outside, have the friends, even the 'Bae'. Are well dressed but all messed up on the inside.. •

Lets be real not all that glitters is gold and not everything u see around u should be taken on face value alone.. Many are good at hiding things, giving of that impression they’re fine and coping. When really they are crying out but due to pride and a narrow minded mentality, they ignore help and with time it gets worse.

Whether with relationships on social media, friendships, jobs etc, people may have it all, but that doesnt mean they are always happy and dont go through trying times. So dont compare your life to someones 10% of happiness or 30%..... Because you never see the battles or struggles behind closed doors. You could be in a better place than them, but just that you dont embrace your progress because of someones current happiness.

And want to bring them back to encourage you to embrace your uniqueness and beauty, as well as what makes you a mighty Woman of God. "For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind." James 3:16. ✔ The bible states clearly what jealousy and comparison leads to. Whatever trait you carry thats not of God let Him purge your heart and work on you. Dont carry what brings disorder.

But I had to be worked on to know that people show the good on social media, but doesnt mean life is always 100% good for them. God made me realise that when you crave anothers lifestyle. Do you also crave their sacrifices, trails and tribulations too? I then began to see how damaging comparison and envy can be and if not dealt with, you live your life in the shadow of the other - wanting what they have not knowing how they got it. So when you know you struggle in this area- pray and let God expose it to work on it. Its so important for us to expose it and deal with it. To know the root of it, rather than brush it aside as if it isnt happening.
