Pharaoh’s cup-bearer and baker (Genesis 40): While in prison Joseph interpreted some dreams of Pharaoh’s cup-bearer and baker. With God’s guidance, he explained that the cup-bearer would return to Pharaoh’s service, but the baker would be killed. Pharaoh (Genesis 41): Two years later, Pharaoh himself had a dream which Joseph interpreted. God’s purpose was to raise Joseph to second-in-command over Egypt and to save the Egyptians and the Israelite’s from a horrible famine.

Samuel (1 Samuel 3): Samuel had his first vision as a young boy. God told him that judgement was coming upon the sons of Samuel’s mentor, Eli. The young Samuel was faithful to relay the information, and God continued to speak to Samuel through the rest of his life.

Daniel (Daniel 24): God placed Daniel in a position of power and influence by allowing him to interpret a foreign ruler’s dream. This is consistent with God’s propensity to use miracles to identify His messengers. Daniel himself had many dreams and visions, mostly related to future kingdoms of the world and the nation of Israel.

In the society although it may be true for most of them that believe that it is your education that makes you successful, this simply isn’t true for us, going back to what was discussed earlier when I was discussing the VISION and what Dr Monroe clearly states in an article titled ‘Your gift will make room for you.’ He says:

Somehow we have swallowed the idea that education is the key to success. Our families and societies have reinforced this idea to us, but we will have to change our perspective if we are to be truly successful. Education is not the key to success. Don’t misunderstand me. I believe in education.

However, if education were the key to success, then everyone who has a Ph.D. would be financially secure and happy. If you are intelligent but are not exercising your gift, you’re probably going to be poor. If you’re educated but have not developed your talent, you’re likely going to be depressed, frustrated, and tired. You will hate going to work on Monday mornings. Education, in itself, doesn’t guarantee anything, is your gift that is the key to your success.

I just love how he has broken it down and explained it with so much wisdom it truly is a very insightful point and one that many should take on board. Your education may be a stepping stone for learning new things but it is not the education system that will make you successful.

Many have passed through the education system and doing odd jobs to get by, many are struggling with the accumulated debt they incurred whilst studying, whilst others have put their dreams on hold to try to pay off some of the debt anyway possible. The education system could fail and God will still be able to use you to do much more than you planned to do with the education you have. He doesn’t limit your growth based on how much education you have, because if that were the case many won’t be even near successful or financially stable.

But that is not to say you shouldn’t take education seriously, just don’t make it your main focus in thinking that alone is what will take you to the top.

The second part of Proverbs 18:16 says, “…brings him before great men”

The gift within you is powerful indeed and much anointed to take you further than you thought you could go by your own might. You are loaded, blessed and highly favoured. The fact that someone is book smart doesn’t mean they possess the wisdom and, common sense and maturity to grasp all that happens. People will not make room for you because you are book smart.

But when you step out and exercise your gift, not only will it cause great people to come to you, your gift will make room for you and you will be highly blessed for using it.
‘Anyone – yourself included – who discovers his or her gift and develops it will become a commodity.’

Do not listen to what people who are education driven tell you what to do, or their ways of how to make money. Anyone can make money but not many people can use it to their advantage to invest in it for the future, they just think of the here and now not the future. There is a big difference between making money the world’s way and doing what God has called you to do, what you know you were born to do. Like I said earlier on, the kingdom is big enough for us all to discover, use and manifest our gifts for His glory.

Your gift to you is a gift to many others, it will be a gift that you can use to help others, it is not a gift for you to use for yourself alone. ‘When God bestows upon one man capabilities and endowments far above the common order, He does not intend to bless that man alone by the gift, but He holds him responsible for the use of the power put into his hand—He expects him so to employ his talents that his fellow-men also may be blessed by the gift’

Look at Joseph, His advancement was not just for Him alone but to bring a blessing to the Egyptian nation, and to further God’s purposes concerning his own family.

Your vision and your thoughts will take your far, and the intention behind it is what births the greatness. Never think your actions are too small and always persevere as you go on, God will never fail you nor forsake you. When you are called and your actions align with what God says you will surely succeed, you will do things whole heartedly and you will be happy doing it, it will not be a burden to you.

You will be remembered as that woman or man from God who did great things, never gave up and had a deep passion to see others doing good and what they were called to do, not what men said they should do. You have to remember that there is power in your thoughts and actions:

Isaiah 55:8-9 ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.’

Galatians 5:22-23 ‘Indeed, the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control’

Colossians 4:5 ‘Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.’

Matthew 5:9 ‘blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.’

Dear Father,

Thank you for all that you have done for us, for always protecting us from harm, blessing us, comforting us, guiding us, teaching us, loving us, forgiving us and for closing the doors and removing the people we didn’t need in our lives. You alone are worthy to be praised and adored. We do not know what the future holds for us but we are certain that in all things we can overcome all that comes our way and you will never leave us nor forsake us. I pray for those who do not feel as though their efforts are enough, are unsure about their calling, want to give up on life and feel alone in their ways to persevere. Father please meet them in their time of need and encourage them to keep on going, their efforts will not be in vain and will be rightfully rewarded. Halleluyah

The word says in Proverbs 18:16 ‘A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.’ Discussing this particular scripture brings me so much joy. How amazing and awesome is it to know that each and every one of us have a unique special gift within us to be used for His glory and to help those around us we are called to affect. It is wonderful and I for one can say I am so honoured, humbled and blessed to have a special gift within me from The Most High. We are all blessed to be a part of the kingdom to do exploits.

For those who feel like they aren’t capable, not worthy, and useless I pray that God will touch you and this post will be of encouragement too. Because you are none of the above and when we look down on ourselves we are giving the devil a free pass to take us away from our blessings to a dark place. That is not our portion and will never happen, proclaim good things into your life and embrace what you receive and how you grow in the kingdom. There is no better place to be than in the kingdom of God so tell the devil no and pursue greatness.

The word says in Psalm 139: 14 ‘I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.’

This scripture is one of my favourites for various reasons I plan to share and break down with you all using various examples and others scriptures.

We are a chosen generation
Called forth to show His excellence
All I require for life, God has given me
And I know who I am[2x]
I know who God says I am
What He says I am
Where He says I’m at
I know who I am

[2x] I’m walking in power,
I’m walking miracles
I live a life of favour,
Cause I know who I am

Firstly it is good to know who you are as a child of The Most High, it is who you are that will set you above the ordinary into the extraordinary. It is who you are that will speak for you, it is who you are that cause you to do exploits, it is who you are that obtains favour, it is who you are that will cause you to excel and not fail. We are more than we think we are but we are who God says we are. Superior to how others label you, He has the final say.

God is with us regardless, never doubt who you are or where you are from, you are special, unique and built with a purpose. When you live your life with Him in control you experience great things and He brings comfort and always steers you in the right direction. He is closer than you think He is, He is never far from you.

You are designed to be known for the special gift within you, so pray for God to reveal to you what your gift is if you are unsure. He has put a gift in every person, there is no way you can’t and won’t shine with what you have within you.

  • Are you happy with how you are?

  • Are there things you would like to change?

  • Are you bold and confident?

  • Are your thoughts more negative or positive?

If there are things you do not like about yourself, pray over them, because He made us the way we are for a reason, a special reason at that and not as a punishment, and if it is pressure from outsiders and or even friends learn to embrace who you are don’t live to make others happy. Most of them are not even happy with themselves and want to bring you down to their low level, always remember there is more to what is seen face value. There are always deep underlying issues that many don’t want you to see.

Fearfully and wonderfully made:’ linking to the fear of the Lord, it is important we love, respect and honour our creator and give Him all the glory not part time but full time. He has done so much for us, we never lack, we never beg and we are fulfilled in His presence, we cannot even begin to repay all that He has done, but we can be thankful for the life and body He has blessed us with even though insecurities do get the better of us at times. He not only created you and I and everything around us but knew fully well what our needs and wants will be. He knows every single thing about us. From our likes to dislikes, the number of hairs on our head Luke 12:7 ‘But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.’

Sadly there are some who don’t know what it really means to be so special and great, worthy and unique and so it is these negative thoughts that can hinder people from worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth John 4:24 ‘God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.’ Also the people you walk with can effect that too, be sure you are walking with the right people and not just anyone because you think they are your friend, when really they aren’t. They should help you grow but should never take The Most High’s place in your life.  He should always be number one and never put second.

He loves and cares for us so much more than we could ever imagine, we are His and we are loved. Ephesians 2:10 ‘For we are his workmanship, created in Christ unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.’

When God created us He did so knowing what we will do in life, His will for our lives will be perfected and it will surely come to pass. It is important to believe and accept that He has a plan for us, once you are able to accept this, you will then be able to accept who you are, how you are, your looks etc. It will become a whole package that you no longer look down on but appreciate, value and love. You can be assured that in His presence you will have genuine happiness, love and your desires met so long as it is in His will for us and you will have a deep burning desire to please Him more and more.

The same way God created us all uniquely with different special gifts is the same way our callings, desires, wants, needs and passions will be unique too. In the kingdom there is sufficient room for us all to serve God in what we do, we wouldn’t have to step on another’s toes to get higher than them and there is surely no competition in the kingdom. We are all one, serving with the common aim to serve Him and Him alone. So long as you know His will concerning your life, you will not fail but succeed.

What you desire to do in life will be different from what others desire, no two paths will be the same, everyone has a different path to follow. So do not feel you have to live like how others will want you to live, but how He wants you to live, because that is all that matters. People will tell you to live your life a certain way, do certain things and distract you from what you should be doing but that is where you have to be strong minded and able to stand against them and do what you are led to do and that is the plan of The Most High.

Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.’

  • Are you happy with how God made you?

With women especially, insecurities can ruin a good thing, pain from experiences, the media, things people say to you, looking down on yourself can all pollute the good thoughts God had in mind when He created you and how much He loves you and how special you truly are. Some go as far as comparing themselves to others how they dress, height, everything about how they look.

You are made that way, but not to look down on yourself and compare, but to appreciate you and all that are blessed to have. No one is meant to look the same, we all have different features, we all think differently, we all approach things differently, we won’t always agree on everything but that is what makes us all different and that should be celebrated. God didn’t create people to be insecure, it is the worldly influences and people around that adds fuel to those thoughts that makes people think they are not worthy or good enough, sadly some people let it control them in all that they do.

‘You can’t fulfil the purpose He has for your life if you mistreat the fearfully and wonderfully designed body He has given you. There are times we are limited in our service for Him because we have created situations for ourselves that He never intended.’

The gifts within you is what will cause people to know you for your good works using that gift. It is not an ordinary gift but a special gift that is attached to many blessings, people are attached to it for you to help them. It opens many doors of opportunities and brings great people your way. A man can have an idea and pursue it in the world running on instincts, self- belief, money and at times selfishness and greed. But that is not to say that it will prosper, with a foundation built on greed and money in this dark world, all that glitters is not gold and what starts of bad will end badly, it doesn’t always last.

But in the kingdom when you know who you are, pray, have faith, let God guide you and equip you, you are creating a foundation firm in the kingdom that will produce fruitful results and will always prosper. Things may happen along the way, but it will never end in sorrow that will not be your portion. When you are doing things the right way you will never lack, lose your senses, take the wrong route to accomplish selfish desires or step on others to get higher.

When God calls you He will equip you, look at our ancestors in the bible and all they faced and be encouraged that your gift will not be used in vain. Look at a few of these examples of people in the bible who were gifted and excelled despite what came their way.

It is important that as you grow, you walk with the right people who you can learn from, not just anyone who will hold you back. As we grow we will lose friends and doors will shut that aren’t meant for us. Where you are going to, not everyone who is in your life now, will be able to handle what you have within, they will be with you for a season or two but won’t be there forever. Because the time they were meant to be in your life has passed and things have to move on without them.

Pray to the Lord that He will take away those who aren’t helping you grow and achieve, but rather dampening your spirit and causing you to be stagnant. Do not allow your growth to be limited when there are many things you can do to move forward with to achieve in life.

  • It is your gift that will enable you to fulfil your vision

A vision-
Our vision is like a long stair case that will make room for you to go up in life, each step will bring forth different outcomes and help you grow but the beauty of it all is to learn from all that happens on your journey to get to your destination. Like a compass your vision will show you what will happen overtime and what you can do to get there, you will not get lost, it is important to not lose focus and in all things pray when going to the next level. Here you will find peace, happiness, your faith will increase, you will be fulfilled along the way and your purpose will come out in all that you do.

Like Dr Monroe said in one of his articles ‘It is interesting to note that the Bible does not say that a man’s education makes room for him, but that his gift does.’

So it doesn’t matter if you have passed through the whole education system and have many degrees that alone is not what will elevate you, in your calling it is the will of God and your special gift. Yeshua didn’t go to school but look at how He effected lives with the purpose He was called to do whilst here on earth, He didn’t go around with study books reciting what He learnt in school or what the teachers said. It was His gift that enabled Him to succeed.

It is important to take a lesson away from this, it is not enough to hold onto worldly things and our education to think that we have made it, yes don’t get me wrong education is very important and I thank God we all passed through the system successfully. But what I am saying is that it is not what will qualify you to progress in your gift, it will help with how you think but it is not what God looks at when He equips you.

There are people out there who are very smart and have so many degrees etc. yet took the wrong turn and went into drugs, dropped out from succeeding further, committed suicide and more. The fact that you are successful in education is never the last step to qualify your gift. There are people who have made it and dropped out of school never attended university but are very successful today.

Let us look at the Old Testament for example each time God wanted to reveal His plan, or place His people at a higher level of influence, or to further His plan He always used visions. A vision is very important because it shows what is to come and how we can get there, it encourages and it equips, from what is happening in the present and how to get to the future in parts. Very powerful and should not be taken lightly.

Here are a few examples of the power of VISIONS:

Abraham (Genesis 15:1): God used a vision to show Abraham that He will have a son and would be a father of many nations.

Jacob (Genesis 28:10-17): Jacob, with his mother’s help, stole Esau’s firstborn inheritance. Jacob then fled Esau’s anger, and on his journey he had his famous dream of a ladder reaching to heaven on which angels ascended and descended. In this dream Jacob received God’s promise that Abraham’s blessing would be carried on through him.

Joseph (Genesis 37:1-11): Joseph is one of the most famous dreamers, and one of the most famous dream-interpreters, in the Bible. His first recorded dreams are found in Genesis 37. They showed that Joseph’s family would one day bow to him in respect. His brothers didn’t appreciate the dream and in their hatred sold Joseph into slavery. Eventually, Joseph ended up in prison in Egypt.
