Hey lovelies,

Let us pray,

Father thank you for the gift of life, thank you for all that you have taken us through up until now, thank you that you have always been there for us, provided for us, encouraged us and above all for your word that heals, instructs, pours wisdom, strengthens us and more. May we continue to live by your word alone in all that we do in your mighty, precious name we pray. Halleluyah.

COLOSSIANS 3:15 says ‘And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.’

What do you think of when you hear the word peace?

Do you have peace at this moment in your life?

What changes can you make in your life to have peace?

God commands us to always seek peace ‘Matthew 5:9’ ‘blessed are the peacemakers for they shall inherit the earth.’ Peace goes a long way and we should ensure that we always live in a way that enables us to have a peaceful environment and peace within, because in clutter and distractions nothing gets done and growth is stagnant. Not everyone or everything brings forth peace but it must be our desire to make it a way of life. ‘Romans 14:19’ says ‘therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and things by which one may edify another.’ Don’t get so caught up pursuing things that you lose out on having peace and edifying others around you, being a blessing, whilst receiving blessings.

The above scripture says let the peace of God rule, have dominion over your heart, your ways, your thinking and in all that we do there is nothing forced on us, it is relying solely on Him with the choice that His will in our lives will be done. But that we should not rely on ourselves or what we think we can do to bring forth change. Because that is not always the case, we are imperfect people and not all decisions we make bring peace, there are some that inflict self-pain and cause us to struggle more than necessary. But we thankfully serve a living father who is faithful and able to help us get back on track.

One of the worse things we can do is reject God’s peace for a false sense of peace, we need to know what is of God and what isn’t of Him. Be discerning and wise in our ways to show how important and crucial peace is, it’s also a fruit of the Spirit, so, if we are indeed letting God have His way in our lives and allowing the Spirit of God rule in our lives, we can be assured that we will have His peace, be soaked in His word, pray, have faith and be peace minded in all you do and you shall never lack.

Living in peace is by far better than living in noise and constant heartache, it will take work but we must not give up. We must work well with others, be respectful and mindful of differences, be patient in the storm and let God lead you as you learn and pray when difficulties arise and submit them to the word of God.

You see we can get so carried away with things of this life, issues we face and trying to do things our own way. That we miss our way and become impatient. Which can cause anger, conflicts, fears, anxiety, distrust and more that does not bring forth peace. You can’t be living in conflicts and fear and say you have relationship with God, the two do not interlink because God doesn’t move in conflict, clutter or negativity. He will take you away from it, and give you peace hence the importance of being able to live in peace above all things, it’s a state of life, to bring you closer to God to connect to Him in spirit and in truth.
