EMPOWERED UNITED WOMEN (I)
Hope you’re all doing well and everything in your life right now is going to plan.. If not and things are weighing you down simply take it to the Lord in prayer and it shall be well with you.. There is nothing too hard that God cannot do so don’t lose focus, hold onto your faith and be encouraged. God has brought you this far and will not leave you at this time in your life.
I’ve chosen to write this blog post titled EMPOWERED UNITED WOMEN, because I feel that as young women of God obstacles may come, the wrong people may approach you with bad intentions, you may lose focus, feel discouraged and well there are things we as young women of God face, life is not easy but the beauty of it is that we have God 24/7 to help us, encourage us, support us, bless us, strengthen us and do soo much for us on a daily basis. That alone is enough to make you lift your head up and smile to face another day, another challenge and people. YOURE NOT ALONE.
Food for thought… Wouldn’t it be great if women could work together more, empowering each other rather than hating on each other, talking bad about one another? We can progress as a gender and show people that women can actually work together and achieve something far better in life, to be a productive citizen of society…
As a woman of God reaching out to fellow women of God, I thought it best to rely on the book of RUTH and the book of ESTHER for this three part blog post. In this particular post I will focus more on three important aspects, in the second post focus more on RUTH and in the third post focus on ESTHER.
‘WHAT STARTS AT HOME GROWS AND DEVELOPS ELSEWHERE’
This brings me to HOME TRAINING:
PROVERBS 22:6 ‘Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old will not depart from it.’
EXODUS 20:12 ‘Honour thy Father and thy Mother; that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.’
The women we have become today is not by our might alone, but home training played a vital part, with the home training we received up until the age where we became able to make our own decisions and do things for ourselves. But first and for most we must acknowledge that it was God who took us through it all up until now. People, obstacles and changes all had a part to play, to better ourselves on this journey we call life. The importance of a solid family structure in the household is where you were taught many things from your parents on what to do, what not to do, how to be careful of people you call friends, how to greet elders, manners etc etc. There was always something new to learn from them. On the flip side some of you women may not have grown up in the nuclear family setting, but did have a mother alone or father alone to help raise you. Whatever the family situation was with you, we had parent(s) who contributed to our growth and reasoning.
Colossians 3:20 ‘Children, obey your parents in ALL things; for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.’ So even before our time it was written to obey our parents and stipulated also in the Ten Commandments.
At what age should you discipline a child? If I had to answer this, hypothetically speaking I would say from a very young age not when it’s too late for the parent to not be able to handle their children. Discipline is essential at those stages to straighten your path and help you grow to know better and learn from mistakes as you go along. However external influences such as friends can also play a part in how we act, there were good friends and there were bad friends. Let’s face it wherever we go there is good and there is also bad, some get easily influenced by friends and others don’t but either way we can all say lessons were learnt, and as we grow wiser by experience the trust factor begins to play a key role in our life. Who we let close, who we speak to and who we give the title ‘FRIENDS’ to, also bearing in mind that friends can also become family too.
EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER OF ALL THINGS. IT HELPS YOU TO LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES SO THAT YOU CAN MOVE ON TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING IN THE FUTURE. BETTER YOURSELVES BETTER THAN BEFORE, A FEW DAYS AGO, OR LAST WEEK.
So when you do look back and reflect on life, it should only be to see how far you’ve come and nothing else. The past is the past, but the home training is still an important factor in our lives of growth and development in disciplining the child.
1 CORINTHIANS 6:19 ‘What? Know ye not that YOUR body is the TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own.’
GIVE THAT TO THE SPECIAL ONE AND ONLY THEM, GOD SENT AND DOES RIGHT BY U AS LOVING MAN OF GOD AND NOT SIN ..LADIES A MAN OF GOD DESERVES THIS AND ONLY THEM GIVE YOUR ALL TO THEM AND INCLUDE GOD EACH STEP OF THE WAY.
Ladies it’s important to believe in yourself know your worth and walk with boldness as a young woman of God pursuing the right things. Daily meditation and prayer to strengthen your relationship with God, is very important. Let no man trouble your heart, affect your self- esteem by negativity and put you down, where you begin to question yourself and allow guys have their way with you, or seeking pleasure in a man to feel worthy. First of no man should have that hold or power over you to forget who you are in the process.
Our bodies are not our own but God’s own, so when you allow a man have his way with you after knowing what God has said to abstain from all sexual immorality, you are then punishing your own body and disobeying God’s word. It is better to keep yourself, work on being better and allow God do the rest to attract the best and nothing less. If you don’t respect yourself and your body as a woman, how can you expect guys to treat you right how you ought to be treated? People will treat you how you allow them to treat you by your actions and what you say.
Time again I hear stories of women letting themselves go, because they find satisfaction in guys who make them feel some way. But sadly enough in a messed up generation where sexual immorality is high, they forget that when you place all of your feelings and efforts into man for TEMPORARY situations and feelings, there is a higher chance of getting disappointed because humans aren’t consistent in their actions. They can be nice with you today but tomorrow turn against you. You’re only setting yourself up for disappointments.
ONLY God can be trusted 100% in His perfect ways, humans aren’t perfect and so there’s more risk in giving your all to them and getting nothing back. Be careful with how you act and who you let close; only God should be let in fully to take care of you and point you in the right direction. As young women of God it is important to be a reflection of Christ, so that others may see God in us and we too may be an encouragement to them, to allow God use us to help them. There are people who won’t believe in God until they see proof He is real or that God is working in our lives.
That’s okay they may not have experienced God fully to know that God is awesome, with time they will get to know about Him. We as ambassadors of Christ can only serve God with a pure clean heart chasing after Him and not man. As it is written in ll Corinthians 6:14-17: ‘BE NOT UNEQUALLY YOKED (AS IN LIGHT AND DARK CANT MIX, UNCLEAN HANDS CANT MIX WITH CLEAN HANDS)..
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Therefore, come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.’
COMMENTARY: THE TRUTH..THATS THE PROBLEM WITH MOST WOMEN TODAY INCLUDING MYSELF.. WE HAVE A BAD HABIT OF GOING BACK TO THE SAME ONE WHO CONTINUALLY MESSES UP, BUT SAYS THE RIGHT THINGS LEADING TO FALSE HOPES.. INSTEAD OF MOVING AWAY FROM THAT GUY WE GO BACK AND IT NEVER GETS BETTER. BUT BECAUSE OF FEELINGS WE GET SUCKED INTO A MAKE BELIEVE BUBBLE THINKING YES HE SAID HE WILL CHANGE BUT REALLY HE HAS NO INTENTION OF DOING SO.. HIS WORDS AND ACTIONS CONTRADICT. YOU BECOME STRONGER AND REGAIN YOUR SANITY WHEN U LET GO OF HIM AND ALLOW GOD HEAL U, TO GIVE YOU THE BEST.
A WEAK MAN CAN’T HANDLE A STRONG WOMAN OF GOD AND SO THAT’S WHERE TROUBLE COMES AND CONTINUOUS MELTDOWNS.. BECAUSE HE SEES HOW STRONG SHE IS IN CHRIST HE KNOWS HE’S DEFEATED BY THAT AND GOD SUPPORTNG HER. BUT A STRONG MAN WILL CONTINUE TO ENCOURAGE A WOMAN OF GOD LEAD HER CLOSER TO GOD, PRAY WITH HER, PROTECT&GUARD HER FOR HE KNOWS HER WORTH AND THE GOD SHE SERVES..
COMMENTARY: YESSS AMEN AND AMEN TO THIS.. NO WORD OF A LIE.. THE RELATIONSHIP/PERSON YOURE SEEING IS IT GOD OR SATAN FATHERING IT??? A RELATIONSHIP BASED ON AND THAT BEGAN WITH SIN IS FATHERED BY SATAN, SATAN USES YOUR WEAKNESS TO MAKE U FEEL ITS OKAY TO KEEP SINNING.. BUT A RELATIONSHIP THAT BEGAN AND STILL FLOWS WITH CHRIST WILL WORK OUT MUCH STRONGER.
Also how you present yourself and the way you dress is also important, people who approach you will notice that first. It’s important as a woman of God to dress in a respectable way that will show a reflection of a God fearing beautiful woman. Because really we are all a representation of God, His daughters He created uniquely so in turn dress to match up to those standards. A woman of God will know the importance of covering up because her body is not like a painting on a wall to be put on show for all to see. (YOU CAN ASWELL BE BEAUTIFUL FULLY CLOTHED, YOU DONT HAVE TO SHOW FLESH TO BE BEAUTIFUL, THAT JSUT ATTRACTS THE WRONG MEN). She respects herself, walks with class and dignity and loves God soo much to follow Him and not the crowds of how society sees women and how they expect women to dress (revealing flesh or even in some cases next to nothing) And seen as a body is a temple of God it is one of the best ways to follow God’s word.
Commentary: wrong choices in the past will lead to the right one for the future, they were just making u realize the best is not in them but the next that’s to come” “A guy who doesn’t cherish a good woman of God is simply telling God he doesn’t appreciate a good thing and simply anything that comes his way” “A good man leads a woman to God and uplifts her not drags her to sin”
‘One who lives according to the moral principles in the scriptures renews their minds daily to possess a strong mind.’ Ask yourself are your thoughts and actions aligned with the word of God, do your actions represent Christ in a good way? The positive mind is of God and knows God will surely see them through no matter what comes their way. Whereas a negative mind will only bring forth doubt, fear and discouragement, it’ll be like you believe in God but not fully to have faith and trust in Him to see you through. So you try to handle your burdens alone, carrying all problems on your shoulders thinking only you can solve them. That is not the case, things we go through cannot be solved by our might alone, God’s intervention is what will help see us through and give us the confidence and courage to face obstacles and in turn encourage others. BE ENCOURAGED, GOD IS WITH YOU, TELLING YOU TO PUT ALL YOUR FAITH AND TRUST IN HIM, YOU CANT MAKE IT ALONE AND YOUR SHOULDNT FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO..
1 Corinthians 15:33-34 ‘Be not deceived, evil communication corrupts good manners. Awake to righteousness, and sin not, for some have not the knowledge of God; I speak this to your shame..’
When I look at these verses, I see the importance of a strong mind, especially in this messed up generation. I say this because there are quite a few fake, deceitful Christians, who will go to church and call themselves Christians thinking that is enough to be a good Christian and make Heaven. Not realising that there is much more to being a good Christian than that, e.g Evangelising, supporting each other, following the commandments, praying, praise and worship daily, practising the word in our everyday lives, forgiving others, obedience and more. So what some try to do and sadly live by, is manipulating the word of God to justify their sinful ways saying ‘well I can keep on sinning because God forgives’, but a sin that is knowingly done is taking advantage of God and His love for us. Yes He is a forgiving God but when you know something is a sin pray to break the evil yokes of sin distracting you and allow God have His way.
So those same Christians will come and try to preach to you, when within them they aren’t pure neither do they know the word. So a real genuine Christian who knows God and the word can in turn stand up for themselves and defend the word quoting what is actually right to do and not what they think is right. Because the power of God is released when you speak, your heart is clean and you’re allowing God use you to spread the word the right way. You cannot be deceived but rather put the enemy to shame by practicing what is good and saying what is right.
1 Peter 5:8 ‘Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.’
You see the devil is around and keen on destroying God’s children, He will also manipulate the weaker Christians and make them think their sins are acceptable and that way of living is okay. So when you see weaker Christians doing wrong don’t point fingers or judge them simply take it to the Lord in prayer and have Him take over, ONLY God can fight such battles, not us no matter how much of the word we quote or how we practice living a good life daily. There are some battles which need to be left to God.
How to develop a strong mind is through meditation, one mustn’t get easily tempted by sin to allow it destroy your mind, body and soul. Pray for God to help with whatever sin it might be that is holding you back from receiving your blessings and growth in Christ. Therefore a strong minded person would be someone who is stable and is able to handle situations that come their way in mature ways with an open mind. Because a strong minded person is not easily manipulated once they take the time to know God and the truth.
James 1: 2-5 ‘My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patienc. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given to them.’
Hebrews 12:1 ‘Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily best us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us’.
So to conclude this area of possessing a strong mind it is very important and will help you to overcome the devils tricks and those he sends your way, to throw you of guard. A sound mind that is willing to learn daily from mistakes made, gain knowledge and understanding to build wisdom. IITimothy 1:7 ‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of sound mind.’
EVERYDAY U SHOULD WORK ON CHANGES TO BE EVEN BETTER AS U GO ALONG.. IF YOU STILL DO OLD THINGS, STILL TAKE PLEASURE IN SIN AND DONT KNOW GOD PROPERLY CHANGE WILL BE VERY VERY SLOW AND RESULTS WILL TAKE LONGER TO HAPPEN.. TURN TO GOD ALLOW HIM HELP U BETTER YOURSELF FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
I hope the words shared in this post have been beneficial and encouraging to those who have read it. Father for those who don’t believe in themselves, or lack the courage to move forward and let you in fully, please I ask you to help them and remind them that they can and will make it, that we are all precious women created by you for a purpose. May all the beautiful people reading this be blessed and highly favoured in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen and Amen.
EMPOWERED UNITED WOMEN (ll) (RUTH&NAOMI)
The significance of Ruth in the Bible is of importance to us young women too. Her loyalty to Naomi, how her marriage to Boaz came about and how great Boaz treated her, all favour from good deeds that Ruth did ended up being a big blessing to her in the long run.
Ruth was a noble, humble woman, and with God no good deeds go unseen He sees all that we do. As young God fearing women it is up to us to go out there and be a reflection of Christ. When people see you amongst other women they should be able to see your light shining as a woman of God, different like no other.
COMMENTARY: Differentiate between the good men and the bad men.. SPIRIT OF DISCERNMENT..Because what it all comes down to is how they treat women. If u plan to have children and not living right, it’s better to make a u turn now and be the best u can be to train your children in future. The best way, to avoid them going through what u put others through. A MARRIAGE BUILT IN CHRIST AND NOT SINFUL WAYS WILL PRODUCE LOVELY CHILDREN AND BY HIS GRACE WE SHALL ALL DO A GREAT JOB FOR OUR CHILDREN. A GOD FEARING WOMAN IS A GOD GIVEN GIFT TO MAN.
Firstly I will talk through Ruth and Naomi’s actions, before talking about her and Boaz the man who would later marry her. Ladies wait on God for the right man to locate you, for your own special Boaz.
Ruth was such a noble, humble woman who devoted her time to her mother in law, even after losing her husband she could have easily decided to go her own way and remarry, stay with her family and move on with life. But she didn’t do that rather she stayed with Naomi her mother in law, left her family, homeland, her culture and moved to a foreign land with strangers, no one she knew besides Naomi who she was with. She wanted to devote her life to serve and worship her creator and still stay close to her mother in law, despite Naomi’s efforts telling her to go back to her family.
I really admire Ruth she had such a good, genuine heart and put others before herself and always did right, she was a true example of how a woman of God should be.
Let’s first examine areas of RUTH 1: (NAOMI AND RUTH’S CHARACTER)…
Elimelek, Naomi’s husband died, her two sons both died and was left without her two sons and husband. They married Moabite women, one named Orpah and the other Ruth. After they had lived there about ten years, both Mahlon and Kilion also died, and Naomi was left without her two sons and her husband. Naomi must have been distraught it’s one thing to lose her husband but her two sons too that was just too much and had they not moved to that foreign land, all that may not have happened. But God knows why these things happen so who are we to question such. But in the end what first happened as a tragedy was later turned around for good. God is a master planner and knows what He is doing and why things happen the way they do..So have no fear, doubt or worry God is with us, we shall overcome all the obstacles that come our way in Jesus name. Amen
Keep the faith in the God, God can turn around a bad situation for the better. Naomi lost three men close to her, but was able to see better days ahead.
Naomi and Ruth Return to Bethlehem
When Naomi heard in Moab that the Lord had come to the aid of his people by providing food for them, she and her daughters-in-law prepared to return home from there. With her two daughters-in-law she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road that would take them back to the land of Judah.
Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back, each of you, to your mother’s home. May the Lord show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me. 9 May the Lord grant that each of you will find resting the home of another husband.”Then she kissed them goodbye and they wept aloud 10 and said to her, “We will go back with you to your people.”Naomi’s act of courage here was touching. She had lost her family, and the two daughters in laws she had left, told them to go back to their own families. She would have been alone but not being selfish put the two women first and told them to go back, appreciative of all they had done for her. That was a lovely act on Naomi’s part, it showed me that as humans we can be caring and loving, when we feel something is right we will stand by it and see it through. Not everyone is selfish, but the ones who are simply pray over them and believe God will help them.
We are not God that we can change people, but we are His daughters and with prayer He hears us and helps us.
11 But Naomi said, “Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands? 12 Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me—even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons— 13 would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the Lord’s hand has turned against me!” Here Naomi was adamant that Orpah and Ruth should return back home, she was thinking of their futures, but had already given up on hers, thinking that God had turned against her. This saddens me when people say ‘but God has turned His back on me so what’s the point in living’. A word of encouragement, yes it is God who created us, gave us life and wakes us up daily. A God of possibilities, a God of yes and not no (unless it’s to get better) a God of healing, love, hope, courage, blessings, growth and soo much more.
For God to wake us up each day that alone shows He cares and loves us and is taking us closer to our set times for breakthroughs. God doesn’t give up on anyone, rather He stands with you through all you pass through and gives you the strength to face it all. He may test us, but that is to see what is within us and how we would act in tough times, once we don’t give up believe a blessing is on its way.
Like Naomi, never feel God has abandoned you, He will never do that He loves us soo much and in all He does He gives the best and nothing less. Trust in Him and He will never let you down.
What Naomi was passing through was not God punishing her or giving up on her. But human nature will always bring about a negative mindset when things do downhill to blame others or even God for those tough times. When really you should be thanking God that you’ve overcome them all so far, and still have life to go on and reach an unexpected turn. Tests and obstacles will come but it’s how you handle them and your relationship with God that is the result. That is what will really see if you pass the test set or not.
One thing we have to remember is that ONLY God knows our tomorrow and not us, He sees further than we see and knows what’s to come for each of us. He has good intentions for us and we should never doubt that. Look at it this way, you’re on the fifteenth floor of a high storey building and look down, you may squint and try to get a good look at what you see below, but you’ll realise that you’re not able to see everything. That’s the human eyes showing you some of what is below but not everything. Well with God there are no blurred spots, uncertainty and no struggle to make out what’s happening. He knows everything.
He created us and everything around us, He is the alpha and omega the beginning and the end. So even before you sleep at night or wake up in the morning He has already planned out what will happen and the future is well secure in His hands. DO NOT BE SHAKEN FOR YOUR LIFE IS IN GOD’S HANDS YOU ARE SAFE AND WIL MAKE IT THROUGH.
14 At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her. There are some people who no matter what happens, or what others do they will always be the first to run away and put themselves first. Once they know they have an escape route they’re out of the door. Then there are compassionate people who care about others, love others in Christ and always do their best to help others before themselves. Because in God’s ministry one of the important actions is to help others not just yourself. The ministry is about them and not you, God loves those who help others and follow the word of God.
15 “Look,” said Naomi, “your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her.” There is only one God and not gods. We serve a living God like no other, for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. CAN I GET AN AMEN TO THAT… That alone should keep your faith up to know of the greatest act that led us here today. God always has us in mind, continue to love Him and stay close, He has all that you need.
16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” 18 When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her. Ruth is amazing, loveable, humble, gracious, supportive, genuine and loyal. It is rare to find such dedicated people, not to say they aren’t around but in this generation at times, one can say that most are in it for themselves, once it suits them alone they’re happy. That self centred, selfish behaviour shouldn’t be practiced neither should it be seen as okay especially as a woman of God. Our God is not a selfish God so we shouldn’t have traits of selfishness. Do not get comfortable in ways that go against God, get comfortable in ways that please God and I pray from your good ways and obedience, that you receive favour in abundance. Amen.
19 So the two women went on until they came to Bethlehem. When they arrived in Bethlehem, the whole town was stirredbecause of them, and the women exclaimed, “Can this be Naomi?”
20 “Don’t call me Naomi,” she told them. “Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter. 21 I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.” Bitterness against God, (the creator of Heaven and Earth and the one who created each and every one of us,) shouldn’t be something one should be proud of. We hurt God when we act in such way because it shows we don’t believe He can change situations, or is just out to punish us. All you have to do is look around at the events happening from shootings, stabbings and natural disasters etc. But yet with all this going on God still keeps you safe and able to see another day. Give Him all the glory and don’t doubt what He can do, and don’t ever turn against Him. I would rather prefer to have everyone turn against me than to have God turn against me.
I am here because of God; I have life because of God, I’m healthy because of God I am blessed because of God. Though I have bad times too I still stand firm in Christ because I believe God will see me through. That’s how it should be every time. No man or woman on earth will take all the glory or be put before God.
22 So Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabite, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning.
COMMENTARY Remember if you plan to marry and have children in your future, your husband shouldn’t be robbed off the goodness u have. Because u keep giving all of u out to others, hold onto some of u, pray to be even better and attract the best. So marriage in future and long term happiness can be sweet. Be a woman u can look at and be proud of.. No one can better yourself more than God and yourself..
At times when things don’t go our way, we may feel a little discouraged even though it’s human nature, shouldn’t be a comfort zone to stay in. There may be low times but that’s not to say what will follow will be more disappointment. To get to the good we must first pass through trying times, but in the end it’ll be worth it.
Naomi, lost everything in a foreign land- her husband and two sons died- and in her bitter disappointment, feeling that God had turned against her. Tried to persuade her daughter in laws to remain in Moab and remarry while she returned to the land of Judah (Ruth 1:13). Such a severing of a relationship could have cost Naomi dearly.
Discouragement comes when people feel they have seen it all and most of it was really bad. BUT no matter what age you are, you have never seen it all. There are no graduations from the school of life and death. No one knows how God will end His book, BUT He does tend to save the BEST FOR LAST. It is very dangerous to assume that what you will see out of life will be similar to what you saw before. God has His way of restoring purpose to our lives. Trust in Him.
For Naomi, restoring purpose and fulfilment in her life came through a relationship she tried to end. He daughter in law Ruth, who refused to leave her, was the key to Naomi’s happy future. It is very dangerous to send people away whom the Lord has brought into your life to accomplish His purposes.
Thank you for the gift of life, thank you for all that you have done for us, I pray that we shall all continue to work on being right before you. I pray that those reading this shall be blessed and highly favoured, to do exploit as ambassadors in Christ. Life is not easy but with you, you help us through and for that I thank you Father. It shall be well with us all.

EMPOWERED UNITED WOMEN (III) (RUTH & BOAZ)
RUTH AND BOAZ
Marriage is a sacred covenant you make with the most High that you will honour and cherish your spouse until the end of time. Love is three words…. affection, attachment and devotion. Love is to love someone for who they are, who they were and who they will be. Love overcomes all obstacles and struggles in life.
As young women of God, we all plan to marry one day, but not just to anyone but a genuine God fearing man, blessed and joined together by God. It is important to pray for God to guide you and help you in the area of preparation for marriage, to meet your very own Boaz. A genuine man of God shall be your portion, a man who will lead you closer to God and not sin, a man who will love you and treat you well with God at the centre of your relationship. Believe in God to give you the best, don’t go and chose only to get disappointed. For our ways are not His ways.
Ruth showed a person’s ethnicity is not what is important to God. Instead it is their heartfelt attitude towards their relationship and the spiritual connection with the creator, that is what counts and what matters the most.
SIGNIFICANT POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND:
RUTH CHAPTER 2:
RUTH MEETS BOAZ:- A BEAUTIFUL LOVESTORY, WHERE RUTH A YOUNG WIDOW MEETS ONE OF NAOMI’S RELATIVE A RICHMAN CALLED BOAZ..
BOAZ ASKS ABOUT RUTH
BOAZ MEETS RUTH IN THE GRAIN FIELD.
RUTH RECEIVES KINDNESS FROM BOAZ.
Here Boaz immediately noticed Ruth and asked the reapers who she was, when you see something special in someone you begin to enquire more about them. As it is shown here she had not been around long enough and already Boaz had seen something in her like no other. Once Boaz went and met Naomi and Ruth, the first thing Ruth offered to do as an act of kindness was: She said, ‘I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves; so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until late, that she tarried a little in the house.’ (Ruth 2:7).. Now we have to keep in mind that Ruth didn’t know who Boaz was and had not been in that land long enough to settle in and get to know everyone. Once she arrived went straight into offering an act of kindness to Boaz, such a beautiful, down to earth, humble, gracious woman who without even meeting anyone got stuck into the work, that truly is an act that will be rewarded by God. God grants us favour and unmerited blessings when we continue to do good, all that Ruth did never went unseen God saw it all and in His set time blessed her beyond her wildest imagination and gave Naomi a chance to smile and be happy again. God is too good, shout FAVOR, your own is coming in Jesus name. Stays encouraged and keep doing good.(Galatians 6:6-10 Sowing and reaping).
So Boaz said to Ruth, “My daughter, listen to me. Don’t go and glean in another field and don’t go away from here. Stay here with the women who work for me. Watch the field where the men are harvesting, and follow along after the women. I have told the men not to lay a hand on you. And whenever you are thirsty, go and get a drink from the water jars the men have filled.” Boaz after seeing the work Ruth was doing in the fields urged her to stop the work as it was not her job to do so, but rather made her comfortable and welcome, catered to her needs. That was the beginning of favour upon Ruth’s life and the beginning of something great, that Boaz was to cherish for many years to come. These lovely acts of kindness really touched me, two strangers who knew nothing about one another met in the fields and acts of favour and kindness were expressed. Nothing happened at those moments in time but God saw it all and blessed them at a later time. Goes to show that you reap what you sow, and whether a week or a month or years after that act, you may have forgotten what you did, but God never forgets, blessings are on its way.
She bowed down with her face to the ground. She asked him, “Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me—a foreigner?” Humility opens doors for you, she probably didn’t think that her act of kindness was a big deal, or that it would grant her such favour from Boaz, and her reaction alone showed that. When God is working in situations and through people you’ll never be able to explain it. Remember God’s ways are not our ways. Ladies it’s good to be good, but not simply to be good to receive, because when you give freely with a pure, good, genuine heart God sees that and blesses you in abundance. He loves a good giver.
Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with people you did not know before. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” AMEN AND AMEN TO THIS, the good you do, no matter how small, is enough to effect live(s). God moving in you will be seen by many, your actions alone may be enough to encourage someone or many out there who need the help and encouragement. Your name shall be used for greatness and God will take you all over, people will hear about you and your steps shall never take you into crisis but greatness. Amen. When others speak good of you and your actions thank God for how He is using you and pray for more strength, courage and wisdom.
“May I continue to find favor in your eyes, my lord,” she said. “You have put me at ease by speaking kindly to your servant—though I do not have the standing of one of your servants.” God spoke to Ruth through Boaz, how lovely. God cannot be with us physically but He can send special people our way who He will use to speak to us and encourage us. Just like we see here with Boaz talking to Ruth, Ruth prayed to find more favour in God’s eyes and that act of laying it all down before God and her acts of kindness gave her victory, boldness and a bright future, God pre destined to happen.
RUTH CHAPTER 3:
BOAZ PROPOSES MARRIAGE TO RUTH
UNDER NAOMI’S INSTRUCTIONS, CLAIMS FROM BOAZ THE DUTY OF A KINSMAN.
One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, “My daughter, I must find a home for you, where you will be well provided for. Now Boaz, with whose women you have worked, is a relative of ours. Tonight he will be winnowing barley on the threshing floor. Wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in your best clothes. Then go down to the threshing floor, but don’t let him know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking. When he lies down, note the place where he is lying. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down. He will tell you what to do.” Strict instructions given, from Naomi to Ruth, whom Ruth followed and her response showed how respectful and obedient she was. “I will do whatever you say,” Ruth answered. So she went down to the threshing floor and did everything her mother-in-law told her to do.
When Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went over to lie down at the far end of the grain pile. Ruth approached quietly, uncovered his feet and lay down. In the middle of the night something startled the man; he turned—and there was a woman lying at his feet! “Who are you?” he asked. “I am your servant Ruth,” she said. “Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian-redeemerof our family.” Submit yourself to your husband, your body is not yours but His, all these verses were coming into mind along with how a woman should be the ideal Proverbs 31 woman. Yes she wasn’t married to Boaz at this time, but she was acting in a submissive way towards him acting on instruction, calm, loving, respectful, gracious and obedient.
“The Lord bless you, my daughter,” he replied. “This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier: You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor. And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All the people of my town know that you are a woman of noble character. Although it is true that I am a guardian-redeemer of our family, there is another who is more closely related than I. Stay here for the night, and in the morning if he wants to do his duty as your guardian-redeemer, good; let him redeem you. But if he is not willing, as surely as the Lord lives I will do it. Lie here until morning.” These particular verses were too powerful, I was moved and just speechless at how God could bring together two strangers, different backgrounds and experiences to be joined as one. Honestly speaking God is just too much; He simply is a master planner and really takes care of His own. WOW! FAVOUR FAVOUR FAVOUR
So she lay at his feet until morning, but got up before anyone could be recognized; and he said, “No one must know that a woman came to the threshing floor.”He also said, “Bring me the shawl you are wearing and hold it out.” When she did so, he poured into it six measures of barley and placed the bundle on her. Then he went back to town. Boaz was a God fearing, lovely, humble, generous man. Truly a man of God, Ruth was indeed blessed to have crossed paths with Boaz. Not just any man in the land but a God fearing well respected man who treated her right in that short space of time, her and Naomi. Ladies pray for your own Boaz to locate you, not just any man because he looks good or has money, NO. Material things are only temporary they come and go but your husband will be the one you spend your life with, learn from, support and encourage the perfect example of a Proverbs 31 woman. I pray we all act in accordance with the Proverbs 31 woman and also meet our own Boaz.
When Ruth came to her mother-in-law, Naomi asked, “How did it go, my daughter?” Then she told her everything Boaz had done for her and added, “He gave me these six measures of barley, saying, and ‘Don’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’ Then Naomi said, “Wait, my daughter, until you find out what happens. For the man will not rest until the matter is settled today.”FAVOR AND GOD’S PLAN MOVING IN A SET WAY ONLY GOD PLANNED.
RUTH CHAPTER 4
RUTH MARRIES BOAZ
BECOMES AN ANCESTOR OF JESUS
BOAZ REDEEMED RUTH MUCH LIKE CHRIST REDEEMED US.
MATTHEW 1:5 – LINEAGE OF THE MESSIAH
RUTH BECMES A GREAT GRANDMOETHER OF KING DAVID, MEANING SHE WAS AN ANCESTOR TO THE MESSIAH, CHRIST. (RUTH 4.9-13, 21,22).
This chapter shows more than anything the care and humility instilled in Boaz and how he went the extra mile to help Naomi sell her land. Because of mixed emotions of doubt and worry buyers were proving difficult as they feared purchasing land from a widow would in effectively bring troubles. This didn’t stop Boaz though; he preserved and ended up purchasing the land from Naomi herself.
Meanwhile Boaz went up to the town gate and sat down there just as the guardian-redeemerhe had mentioned came along. Boaz said, “Come over here, my friend, and sit down.” So he went over and sat down. Boaz took ten of the elders of the town and said, “Sit here,” and they did so. Then he said to the guardian-redeemer, “Naomi, who has come back from Moab, is selling the piece of land that belonged to our relative Elimelek. I thought I should bring the matter to your attention and suggest that you buy it in the presence of these seated here and in the presence of the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, do so. But if youwill not, tell me, so I will know. For no one has the right to do it except you, and I am next in line.”
“I will redeem it,” he said. Then Boaz said, “On the day you buy the land from Naomi, you also acquire Ruth the Moabite, thedead man’s widow, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property.”
At this, the guardian-redeemer said, “Then I cannot redeem it because I might endanger my own estate. You redeem it yourself. I cannot do it.” Lack of faith and belief. They don’t see what God is doing in the life of Ruth and Boaz and are probably filled with doubt.
(Now in earlier times in Israel, for the redemption and transfer of property to become final, one party took off his sandal and gave it to the other. This was the method of legalizing transactions in Israel.)…So the guardian-redeemer said to Boaz, “Buy it yourself.” And he removed his sandal.
Then Boaz announced to the elders and all the people, “Today you are witnesses that I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelek, Kilion and Mahlon. I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, Mahlon’s widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from his hometown. Today you are witnesses!” He took on this huge responsibility didn’t fear or allow doubt or worries move him. Just goes to show when God plans things, it’ll all flow smoothly, Boaz may have been the initial buyer from the beginning. But God is funny and soo creative before that happened He may have tried to see who would have wanted to buy it, and therefore didn’t seem shaken at having to maintain the dead name. This situation showed who was really from God and who wasn’t. Then the elders and all the people at the gate said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the family of Israel. May you have standing in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem. Through the offspring the Lord gives you by this young woman, may your family be like that of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah.”
NAOMI GAINS A SON
So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son. 14 The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given birth.” God is just too amazing, look at how He planned out this love story from the beginning to the end. Ruth not only marries Boaz, conceives a son, not just an ordinary son but a King, King David.. Then Naomi took the child in her arms and cared for him. The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.
GOD CAN TAKE A NOBODY AND MAKE THEM A SOMEBODY.. GOD REALLY CARES FOR HIS OWN, IS A MASTER PLANNER AND ALWAYS GIVE US WHAT WE NEED, HE NEVER FAILS..
Thank you for everything you have done for us, thank you for our lives and lessons learnt to make us stronger. I pray that all the people reading this post shall locate their own Boaz who will walk with them in Christ to draw nearer to you. I pray for the spirit of discernment to help us through with the good and bad guys who locate us in Jesus name I pray.
