Thank you for everything, thank you for our lives, the air that we breathe, the protection over our lives and our families for never leaving us and always being there for us. No matter what life throws our way we know that we can always rely on you to help us all in our day to day living. Father I pray that what you lay on my heart to share shall continue to encourage and uplift those reading. Life is not easy and the walk in Christ will have its tough times but the beauty of it all is that we have you ALWAYS now and forever more.
This series so far has discussed the following:
Brief intro to speak about this series
The calling from God
To surrender all to Him
We were created to have a personal relationship with God, but by choice and self-will. God will not enforce Himself on us. Whereas on the other hand living a life of self and on own might tends to be seen as a rebellion towards God or a lack of interest in Him, evident of sinful living.
We must receive Christ “As many as received Him, to them He gave them power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in His name..” (John 1:12)
MOST IMPORTANT POINT:
We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation we need Him in all that we do.
[Christ is speaking] “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him…” (Revelation 3:20).
In your journey the beginning is to:
- Recognize your need for Christ.
- Turning to Christ and away from self – To fully repent
- Trusting Christ to come into your life, forgive your sins
- You surrender all to Him, hear the calling and position yourself for Him to use you for His glory.
- By faith you act on His will for your life. That is how you will grow in your relationship with Him.
God has called you, you then learn to surrender all to Him to build on an intimate relationship with Him and let yourself be positioned. When you know and do all this then comes the journey to walking in your calling.
When you surrender and position yourself you are showing that you want Him to take all the control concerning your life and all that you do, the journey will not be easy and you wont understand everything that happens but trust in God as you go along and He will be there for you, reveal to you, and answer what you need. You need to be on the right path once you have accepted Him as your personal saviour then will you begin to walk by faith and not what you see.
On this journey you will need to have FAITH (“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6) the HOLY SPIRIT, PRAYER and a BIBLE to mediate on a daily basis. With your faith it is about obeying the word of God, moving when He speaks, allowing Him to work on you and even though you may not see anything happening there and then doesn’t mean nothing is happening delay is not denial. Your self has died to the ways of the world and in Christ you are a new creature.
The Holy Spirit dwells in each and everyone of us so long as we die to the old ways and invite Him in, there is no way you can be faithful to God and live on own might, you need to come to the realisation that you are no longer in the world and so all the ways of self-controlling and making own decisions, stop. Because you are putting God first in all you do and not living of what you alone think and how you want to live. God Almighty is our helper, our strength, our protector and we need Him in all not some things. We also need to have that spiritual connection of daily prayers, in all we do because it is important to communicate with God everyday not just to ask for help, but also clarity, wisdom, healing and more.
Prayer involves praise, thanksgiving, pouring your heart out to Him, confessing your wrongs, interceding for others and with prayer it brings victory and the power to move all mountains you face.
On this journey you will also need a good bible to help you understand your walk in Christ, to gain more wisdom, answers, instruction and encouragement from what our ancestors passed through and more. The bible is the blueprint in our lives and to be a Christian you cannot progress with a closed bible, no prayers, Holy Spirit deprived and no faith. But it is important to use a version you can understand not just reading for reading sake.
Reading the bible will help you in your walk, it’ll help you understand what God asks you to do and teaches you mostly what others can’t, your peace is in the word of God. The bible also helps us learn more about ourselves, our gifts and areas to develop on, we are secure once we are in Him and learning more about what we need to know in our daily walks.
Also attending a good church will help you in your walk, the preaching will help teach you principles in the spiritual realm that can help you grow as well as growing with like-minded Christians growing, encouraging and fellowship.
I hope these pointers and Godly encouragement will help you in progressing in your walk, especially those who are new in Christ and learning the ways of what it takes to grow as a strong Christian to step out and let God.
God bless you all
